group purpose

  • My thoughts are that it is about community resilience - how we can come together to support each other through disruptive times. We each have a piece of the puzzle of how to live off the land/grow our own food/generate our own electricity/preserve food etc. Together we can share our knowledge and lift each other up, and ultimately lift the wider community. There could be a lot of hungry people in the event of a major catastrophic event (oil supplies cut off/thermonuclear war in northern hemisphere/complete economic collapse etc) and that initial period will be crucial that social cohesion is maintained, people are fed and people learn what it takes to feed themselves. We have a tonne of land in this country and it only takes a small area to feed each person. In times of fear it can be easy to believe there is great scarcity, but with knowledge, passion and creativity there is actually great abundance.
